Because of the age + mileage, flush the radiator, and back flush the heater core,
new hoses, and get a new thermostat.

Thanks but I need to order a new water pump and I'm not sure which one. I was going to order a new water pump for a 1993 Dodge Ram Conversion Van b250<base>6Cyl 3.9. from the Dodge website but the guy there said he wasn't sure if they had the right one in stock or if it would fit. I want to order the water pump online and then take it to a mechanic to have it installed. The seal on the pump is broken and it's leaking antifreeze. I need a new water pump and the ones I got from Napa Auto Parts don't last long and the first one was defective, so I don't want to order another one from them. Thanks, Donna

What kind of local stores? I'm in Victorville, CA and I've had bad luck with the Napa Auto Parts, in Placer County, CA and Ft Bragg, CA. I need a new, high quality water pump for a 1993 Dodge Ram Conversion Van>B250>base>6cyl 3.9. Thanks
