TN State Laws Exterior Lighting
Hello,
I'm obviusly new, so if this question has already been answer please tell me or give me a link. I was woundering if anyone knew the tennessee state laws for exterior light( ex.fog lamps) or undercar neon? |

You can probably get away with aftermarket fog lamps such as PIAA if thats what you're talking about.. but.. underglow neon is illegal in all 50 states unless its used for a show car.

Im not to sure about in all states.. Here in florida you can have them as long as the tubes themselves are not showing and no red light in front. If any color is flashing thats also illeagle. you can have red in the back, its a rear color so its permited.
I have found that if you do however get pulled over for any color at anyreason, go to court about it and tell the judge that you feel safer with them on.. They canont do anything about it then. It turns into a safty reason. This always works with dark colored cars, and sometimes works with others. I hope that helps..

That's what I read in a few other threads.
1. Can't see the tubes. 2. Can't be red or blue(emergancy colors) Your example of the excuse to in court that the neon is a safety item sounds like BS. Or do you know someone that has used that. |
