1977 Impala Wagon - Need Body
I have a 1977 Impala wagon and was recently rear-ended. I am looking for body parts. As far as I know I will need the rear door, rear passenger quarter-panel, window, and taillight. I believe that the rear body comes as one piece, but I have a welder friend that is willing to do some work for me.
Anyone have some advice on where I can locate some of these parts? I have checked at a few local junk yards but have come up empty so far. Peace |

Re: 1977 Impala Wagon - Need Body
Yards around our part of the world are not likely to have much of anything that old. The ones that were rotted out were probably crushed straight away. Any that were not rotted out have likely been picked over in the last 40 years, and have since met the crusher.
The only exception would have been at Murray's in Orfordville, but that's been closed for over ten years. They never crushed anything, and had 1920's vehicles there until they were closed. You best bet would be a large yard using a locator service, hoping that somewhere in the south or southwest still has some bleached out bodies for sale. Glass might be easier, and a tail light might still be an aftermarket item, but the tailgate and door are going to be a challenge. One possibility: https://www.ebay.com/p/?iid=182395266301&&&chn=ps
