1/12 Lancia Stratos?
Hi,
Last weekend I was at my LHS again and noticed he had a Doyusha 1/12 Lancia Stratos HF in his store. I hadn't noticed it last time I was there (only a few weeks ago). Here's a picture of the box: I have never heard of this kit before and only found some quite expensive ones on ebay. So I was wondering; is the quality of this kit any good, or should I just leave it where it is right now? Tim |

So what city are you in TvD? Not that I want that kit it's just that I'm always looking for a well stocked store.

Personally, if the price is right, i'd get it in a heartbeat.

Re: 1/12 Lancia Stratos?
I've got the '77 Monte Carlo Alitalia version pictured, haven't built it yet. From memory the decals look pretty blotchy and spell the drivers names wrong and it is annoyingly missing a fifth tyre for the spare rim. Other than that it appears pretty good for its age. With some work it will build up very nicely I imagine.

What's the price? It's a good kit, that can be a great one if the builder has the skills.

Re: 1/12 Lancia Stratos?
The original kit is very old, and Doyusha doesn't maintain its molds very well, so you might end up doing a lot of sanding and cleaning, but the kit seems fairly complex, and I think it's worth the money (MSRP for that reissue is 9800 yen).
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10049941 If you can find the original Nitto one, it'd be the best. |

It's not the kit it's what you bring to the table can you take an old kit or unknown kit and make a masterpice out of it. This is what (to you) it will determine if you have what it takes to truly be (T H E-M A S T E R); all hell the "Master".
