Hi there, I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Spyder with a 5 speed. In June the car ceased starting. It would just click. Took it to a mechanic and they had it 7 weeks. Turned out it was a bad starting relay that is no longer made. So they did their own wiring to bypass the relay. She starts fine now and runs like she did before, very well. However a week or two ago the SRS light popped on (had the car 9 years and never had the light come on). What goes wrong with the supplemental restraint system to cause that light to come on? Maybe when the mechanics were working on her they caused a bad connection with something in the SRS circuit? I disconnect the battery (she's a garage kept Summer car only) and I was hoping that would perhaps reset the computer or sensor but to no avail, the light is still on. Thank you!
