Saturn Vue 2006 Vacuum Cannister? Broken
I have a 2006 Saturn Vue. Last night we hit a tire on the highway and unfortunately it took out what I think is the Vacuum Cannister. Im saying this because I went to Advanced Auto and they looked it up but no pics. I have some pics that I can email to anyone so they can take a look. Its a black box that sits underneath the rear drivers side door. It has 2 or 3 vacuum hoses coming out of it and a wire, which is broken now. The only identifying marks I can get off of it without removing it is Delphi , made in USA
>PA66<. They might be a part number on the top of it, I didnt want to move it around , i have a bungy holding it up. Of course the check engine light is on now. Anyway, I wanted to see maybe If i could replace this myself, if not I have to wait till Wednesday to get it done. Can I still drive the vehicle local? Please advice, Snowstorm headed this way, wanted to try and figure this out beforehand. Thanks. |

Sounds like the carbon canister for emissions. Yeah, you can drive it but ya need to get it fixed and codes cleared.
