Rough Idle/Misfire 98 GMC 2.2
I have a 98 Sonoma 2.2 with a runs rough problem, things I have changed are injectors, plugs, wires, coils. Now I am getting a hesitation on exceleration and a bad fuel smell out of the exhaust.

Could be a stopped up cat, O2 sensors, or maybe your EGR valve need cleaning. Is your check engine light on? You may could see if you get a code from a computer scan.

Gonna do another fuel filter tomorrow night, the daughter likes to drive it with the fuel light on. I did notice that at around 45 mph is when you start to lose rpm and power.

Re: Rough Idle/Misfire 98 GMC 2.2
Just an update, when the injector failed (in the open position) it dumped fuel into the cylinder. so when I checked the oil today it was half way up the neck. Did an oil change and new fuel filter and can now drive over 45mph, still has a slight miss but am thinking plugs AGAIN.....
