Just bought E30 318i tourer and have M40 engine query
On sat I bought a very tidy looking 1993 (L) E30 318i Lux tourer. I then bought a magazine called Total BMW to check on parts prices. There is an article that says that the M40 engine is a dog of an engine. This worried me as the car I have just bought has this M40 engine (at least they look identical).
Is this true? I thought this engine had been used in many BMWs and if it was that bad would they not use another engine or fix the probs that tihs one may have. Any help would be much appreciated. Edd. |
