93 go prizm speedometer/odomoter broken
The speedometer & odometer quit working in my 93 Geo Prizm. The local mechanic charges $80 just to "diagnose"
the problem. Seems a but much. Can anyone tell me, is it just a cable, or a simple self diagnose, how and how to fix. Thanks in advance Jk |

Re: 93 go prizm speedometer/odomoter broken
Often times it is the vehicle speed sensor. If you got a a check engine light you can do a diagnostic with a paper clip. The VSS is very expensive at the dealer got to a junk yard.

Re: 93 go prizm speedometer/odomoter broken
The 93 Geo Prizm does not have a speedometer cable. A part called a VSS (vehicle speed sensor ) often breaks. It is an easy install. Check your manual.
