Re: Isuzu Manual - New Upload
Hi all, I just purchased a 2001 Trooper and need to find info on changing the timing belt. 67K mi without a change on it. If anyone wouldn't mind, could you send me the manual at soonercntry@gmail.com? Thanks a million!

Re: Isuzu Manual - New Upload
67k is way to soon.
most are going about 100-120k. There have been some recent posts of folks changing them at 155k and 175k. Unless you do a lot of towing or off roading I would wait another 40k.

Since I am new to the Isuzu family, I have a question about these timing belts. If/When they break, is there any damage to the engine... i.e. heads, valves and such? I really don't know much about Isuzu other than what friends who own them (and are not mechanically inclined) have told me.

Re: Isuzu Manual - New Upload
I can't upload now due to connection speed, but just an FYI, the manual covers Isuzus from '99-'02. 1994 is quite a bit different.

TIMING BELT - replace it as recommended, or lose your engine? The choice is yours.
