6.5 diesel wastegate question
Hi guys. I have a question, I`d be glad if someone could answer it. I want to know if the wastegate on the 6.5 turbo is normally closed or open during idle. It's a `94 2500 truck, automatic. In my truck the wastegate linkage its all the way towards the firewall, but I don't know if thats the open or closed position.

Why are you asking about it? If no code for wastegate you have no problems. If a code Get a repair flow chart and check it out. Check vacuum at idle atend wastegate vacuum line. It should be 15 at idle. Is it?
