Importing cars from Japan (to USA)

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if any of you have any experience in importing cars and can offer some advice/literature on the subject. I understand that it's a rather large, cumbersome undertaking, but to get the "car of my dreams" and for cheap, I think it would be worth it.

Assumptions are dangerous.

I'm looking to import a Subaru E-BG5 (Legacy GT-B).
