A new aluminum XKR will probably debut during those times and go into production by the summer of 2007.
Like the new XK, the next XKR should weigh less than the current XKR. The next XKR is rumored to have more than 400 hp. |

Re: 2007 XK series
One has to be kidding! It looks like a Hyundai Tibourn, tuscani, coupe :22yikes: . I think it is way off the mark. Ford/Jaguar should have picked from the Aston-martin's parts bin. At least then it would not look like the plain Jane that it is. They need some real this car, to me has no inspiration. The tail lights look like an after thought. The front end has to many cut lines in it, the driving/fog lights look to high, the A pillars should be black to block out the huge thickness of them, they should have had the lower grill match the oval grill. Yes I am sure the tech of the car is wondefull. To bad its looks do not match. Thumbs down on this one, when the Hyundai has the same looks plenty of power and the tech for a fraction of the price. Hyundai has come a long way in quality, and it is a price leader, @ $15.000 I rather have it.

bcharley,
Have you seen the new XK in person? I saw it at the L.A. auto show and was impressed. The front bumper is more blunt and higher than the previous car because of the new European pedestrian safety regulations. Check the first page for information on them. Go ahead and photoshop the lower grille to look like the main grille. I remember when the Ferrari 360 came out and I thought the front looked too much like a Hyundai, but the looks have grown on me. Do you mean to say a new Hyundai coupe has "plenty" of tech to match the new XK? |
