the b16a is a vtec motor. so. no.
look at the covers...honda made two covers for the dohc engines...one for the vtec, and one for the non-vtec. if it is a non-vtec b16 (i dont think there is, but i might be wrong) then yes. but if it is vtec then no, the bolts dont match up.

Yeh i figured that but i don't think its because of the v-tec? From wat i see that the v-tec cover seems a bit bigger then the the ls. Maybe i'm wrong though ...someone correct me if i'm wrong? Thanks

that's not true...you can put one on. I know a guy that has LSVTEC(B18B1 w/B16A head) and he didnt want anyone to know that he has LSVTEC so he put the LS valve cover back on and it looks stock. But yea...you should be able to for sure do it.

Does he have to custom fit it or no?

why would he do that? thats stupid...
he would have to get a costom fit to replace the covers, the screws in the vtec head go down the top and bottom of the spark plugs where the ls cover go in the middle of them. i think either you dont know what you are saying or your friend is lying about his vtec.

or he glued it...

to fit the two diefferent covers together would take more work than it is worth.

He aint lyin about the VTEC. i've seen the solenoid and everything and the valve cover is pure black and i know 100% that it's not the B16. I dunno how he got it to fit.

have your friend take you for a ride you will know its Vtec if you hear that wonderful click then get pulled back into the seat =) hehehe

I can understand wanting a LS cover on a Vtec so you can hide the fact that you have a vtec engine but..... if you are just doing it for looks or becuase you need a cheap fix come on... the Vtec cover looks sooooo GREAT I love it
