97 Avalon ABS code 43
After replacing all struts on my 97 Avalon the ABS light is on steady and Trac off light blinks. Running the codes shows a code 43 but I can't find info for a specific cause or wheel....? Any help is much appreciated

Check all the ABS connections at the wheels for loose or damaged connector on the ABS sensor.

Re: 97 Avalon ABS code 43
Thanks Brian. This was the very first thing I tried and all connections are secure... I was also very careful to place the wiring out of harms way during installation.

Re: 97 Avalon ABS code 43
You can try testing the ABS sensor wiring for continuity. If the connections are good, it is likely a damaged sensor or bad wiring. Other than testing the connections and continuity, I don't know of a good way to troubleshoot this. The only suggestion I can make is let Toyota put their ABS machine on it and let it diagnose the problem.

Re: 97 Avalon ABS code 43
Hmmm, Thanks Brian, sometimes one misses the obvious. I will check for continuity! If that checks out I am afraid it is a trip to the dealer. Either way I will let yinz know the outcome

Thanks Brian, I did check the wires for continuity and found the R/R infinate. I replaced this but still pull a code 43 and cannot reset the lights... grrrr

Re: 97 Avalon ABS code 43
You probably checked the wiring through the sensor or the ECU. Make sure that you are testing a single length of wire without any sensor or ECU in the circuit. The sensors may normally have an infinite resistance.
