Black and wet plugs is a rich mixture or incomplete combustion do to crap plugs. Oil will leave a crust of brown on the plug

I'm using Castrol GTX.I took it to work today and she ran much better.Good advise here on the S-10 forum.What's up with the ads lately?Is nothing safe?

Doesnt a rich mixture or incomplete combustion leave dry carbon deposits? Not wet?

But gas evaporates and would disappear while oil would stay leaving the wet look?

It won't evaporate that quickly in the combustion chamber.

Even tho these questions and comments are from 2004, they helped alot when I needed to know what the correct gap was for my 96 S-10 4.3l.....thanks guys!
