woohaa, that color mix looks really great to the eye, don't know if it is correct compared to the real thing but still, nice.
Cf, as always, perfect. /Joel

Hopefully i never attempt to wire a bike, i would just get lost. Keep the updates coming as it looks like a top notch build.

Re: Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
What's the decal doing on the forks?
It's a Öhlins fork with Nissin calipers... why using the decal saying Showa forks and Brembo calipers? |

wow - third post and already a critic... nice. that questions has already been asked and the truth is I just wanted to add some interest to that area - this is a FANTASY bike anyway - not a accurate depiction of any motorcycle that raced in any of the MotoGP races... but thank you for your kind critique.

What a fantastic build!!!
I have been looking this from the start. I just all I can say is that I want to see more!! You are doing a great job on the details, but my opinion is that for your next bike you should try to work with the welds of the exhaust pipe, not just paint a silver line, it should have a little bit of thickness. You can do it with putty and a little bit of acetone or solvent or eppoxy putty. Hope to see more pictures soon Roca |

Alefosi - no problem bud - sorry I flew off the handle. I am pissed about SPC being down too.
Roca46 - I tried doing the weld lines before using CA glue and running it around the tubes - it came out ok - but I like the simple silver strip weld lines. Do you have any examples of the seams you did on yours? How about a how to?

Re: Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
some more progress:
I finished the cowlings...I modified the rear cone to add mesh (its not accurate on this bike, but i have seen photos of it on other bikes and i liked the look) here is where the build stands - the front is almost buttoned up - still missing the fluid bottle and radiator:

This is looking amazing, love the colour, also you have done an excellent job on the cf detail and the wiring , and the mesh on the rear cowling works well, nice touch.

Re: Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
Great progress. Can you tell me how you attach the fork sensor? Is it from the Top Studio set or scratch built by the way?
Joel

Re: Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
The sensor is from Top Studio - I simply built a little plasticard tab to keep it in place. Its designed with another little spacer tab already

Re: Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
Would you mind providing a clearer shot of the front sensor you scratch-built? I'm going to do the same with an RC211V soon, so I'd like to see what I need!
Thanks! Daniel |
