Ducati Pramac 1/12 - Detailed *another attempt*
So I am going to give it another go - this time I will attempt my best to superdetail this kit to the best of my abilities, keeping in mind that Top Studio did not come up with a superdetail kit for this one.
doing my last Pramac bike taught me some of the lessons I needed for this build, so on with the show: the engine: clutch is detailed with 9 p/e pieces, the paint is all metallizers buffed to a nice sheen, the bolts are all picked out and a general light wash is applied. I will be wiring this bad boy in the next session: exahaust: mfh springs, scratchbuilt spring mounts, paint is all clears ans smokes from tamiya airbox - sms 1020 1/20 cf decals (13 pieces) with crazy modeler p/e and mfh self-adhesive heat shielding other random cf bits.... cover with p/e hose clamp and p/e bolt heads instrument panel seat: covered in mfh self-adhesive suede - will need to still trim off the pieces around it, but overall looks very convincing in person frame - before all the wiring... i also have a special "fantasy" pain scheme instored for this bike ...involving CF and black...stay tuned!

Love that spectacular engine paint job. Are you doing anything to prevent the paint rubbing off though? I'm guessing it will in places, but easy enough to dry brush any spots later.

You know, I find that the Metallizers I use tend not to rub off very much, if at all.

small update:
Here is the frame... the wiring scheme is losely based on another great built I saw and the PitWalk guide photos: The ignition box is a pe item from CM next up the engine wiring - also based on the photos of the PitWalk guide book: Airbox wiring exhaust wiring - temp sensors thanks for checking it out.

Holy shit, this is going to be a really spectacular build. Wiring is so good. Painting of the engine is also great.

Fantastic!!
If you hadn't mentioned it in the first post you would swear that Top Studio had done a detail set for this bike, your work is just great! Also, may I ask what you use for a wash?, the shadows on the engine and the dark lines in the corners are just perfect.

I use a mixture 50/50% of flat black and paint thinner.

Looking great, SLK!!
But why have you got the Showa and Bremo logos.... when the bikes forks are Ohlins and the brakes are Niffin
