Re: What are Caps & Rotors?

Caps are your distributor cap. Thats were your spark plug wires connect too. The rotor is located inside your distributor. This is the part that goes around inside sending spark to your plug wires as the motor turns.

Is this a test?

Here's a few...

Caps= The screw-on thingie on the tip of a valve stem.
The black plastic cover on the lug nuts.
Something you put on your noggin in cold weather
The distributor cap (as mentioned above).
The cover on a brake cylinder reservoir.
Also on the power steering pump.
That thing you remove to put gas in the tank.

Rotors= The round disc that the caliper slides over to stop the vehicle.
Certain pointdexters have them on their beanie caps (like a propeller).
The plastic cap with a metal insert that fits on the distributor shaft inside the distributor cap to distribute spark to the plugs (also as mentioned above).

Any more ?

Re: What are Caps & Rotors?

Caps are little blisters of smokeless powder used in a cap gun to make a bang sound.

Capacitors - layered electronic devices that store electrical energy.
