Error code P0418 & P0175 2001 Bravada

Hey Guys, I'm new to the forums. I've got an issue:
The check engine light lit up first thing Saturday morning in our 2001 Bravada. The AC which was previously ice cold with no indication of going out, was now very HOT. I took it in and had the engine check done at Autozone, they came back with two codes: P0418 & P0175. I've seen the description of the error codes, but I don't want to get taken to the cleaners if I have to take the car in to the shop. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot what's going on? Being in Las Vegas with no AC is pretty darn miserable. UGH. Thanks for your time!

Re: Error code P0418 & P0175 2001 Bravada

On the P0175. . . You could have a dirty MAF sensor or a dirty air filter causing this. Could be a vaccuum leak or a fuel delivery problem. For this you can check all your hoses for leaks and if possible check the fuel pressure at the rail. Could also be dirty injectors. Get something to clean those up!

For the P0418. . . You could have water that has collected in the Air pump or a blown fuse. I would check and clean the air pump or replace whatever is necessary. Also replace the air pump fuse (usually under the hood!)

Hope this helps!
