Bravada issues: Rear wiper and driver's seat
Hello everyone. I hope these are not repeat questions for you. I tried a search, but I didn't find anything.
I have 2 issues (hopefully minor). I have a 99 bravada smarttrak. #1, my driver's side seat won't recline, etc. All the other switches work (I don't have heated seats). I was told I have to buy a new seat, and not just be able to fix that switch. When I engage the switch on the side of the seat, I do hear a "click", but nothing happens. #2: my rear wiper won't work. I hear it turn on (ie sounds like a motor sound) but the wiper doesn't work. So is it just a bad motor? Are they easy to replace? My wiper fluid doesn't squirt out either, on the rear window. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I got someone to "adjust" my seat so it's comfortable to drive, but it's really irritating not to be able to relax and recline when I am waiting for someone in the parking lot!! |

Re: Bravada issues: Rear wiper and driver's seat
Hi MSUFroggy,
For #1 It could be a bad recline motor or maybe an errant shoe or even a clawhammer...I'd take a strong light and look for something binding up your program. #2 I had a stripped arm on a windshield wiper...2000 Grand Prix to be exact. I cleaned the stripped aluminum off the post and arm...it was held on with a nut and managed to get grip after cleaning. Have you changed your transfer case fluid with the GM AutoTracII blue fluid? You don't have to wait for the innards to start sticking up. |
