Mine still drives.

Barely. Can't do anything till I can afford the motor to stuff in it.

Then... then we'll be back on top of our game.

how hard it is it to get the uber nice N1 motor imported? heard that thing is putting out like 350ps rather than the 280ps that Nissan rated it at.

N1 turbos are just GT2560R's arent they? those are the same turbos i was gonna get for my build but decided that id rather give up 25whp on the street, where my car will be, in exchange for about $1000 off the price of my build costs. f***ing Greg Dupree 5-bolt downpipes are $600. wtf. its all good...next year im going GT28RS's.

we can go heads up when i get my GT28RS's...

hmm...maybe if i can sell some of the shit in my garage i can make up the extra costs and buy the GT2560R's. *heads out to garage with a notepad.*

Well, the R34 RB26 makes roughly 330hp stock. It's just rated at 276hp.

N1's are good for 20-21psi of b00st. So roughly 500whp with full bolt-ons and high-lift cams. We'll see.

wow...i would think that motor is making more power than that at 20ish psi. i think the VG makes near 550 rwhp at that boost level. ehh...extra .4L i guess.

good luck with it man. i think i just scored some badass turbos and manifolds. guy made 540rwhp on pump fuel with this set-up. i have never been more excited...

Well, I'm being fairly conservative with my assumptions.

In reality, it may very well make more. The RB26 can get power if you just look at it the right way.

yes i know, with how much money i have spent into my drivetrain, i almost wish i would have just dropped in an RB26 and upgraded to 1000rwhp.

in my search, no one wants to get rid of their TTs or they are automatic (ghey) or they are convertible (meh). old thread no one probably reads it, but here's my 2 cents

Unhappy Re: Twin Turbo Swap... READ

Hi! I'm here & I'm thinking of doing the N/A To TT engine swap to my car in 2 week's I'm getting a tt front clip and I have read most of the thread of the engine swap but I have I littel problem with the wiring harness some say that you can use the N/A wiring harness but you have customize some wires but I don't know which one's can you help me out with a wiring diagram of how to due so. Or which wiring harness do you recommend to use the N/A or the TT one & which is easy due Thank's.

I'm doing this because my engine f***ed up my timing belt broke doing around 5 to 6,000 RPM & I did a compression check and it failed so you know what that mean & I still didrent think that I f**ked up my engine so I whent & change my timing belt but it still didrent work:madsign:.

Re: Twin Turbo Swap... READ

Hey guys, new to the site, not to the car... but hey, i know all of you are talking about bolting up to N/A cars, has anyone ever done a VG30ET to VG30DETT? That is the project i am thinking of taking on... it just seems like paying $2000 (- shipping) for a VG30DETT and starting out around 300hp is a far better investment than paying about $2000 for upgrades to the VG30ET to get it to 300hp!

I have already upgraded exhaust, intake, 2 electric 12" puller fans, intercooler, boost controller, suspension, rims/tires, wiring and audio, wideband 02, and CRAP TONS of bondo! ... no A/C by the way

so, for any help/tips would REALLY be greatful!

Thanks Guys!

I am no Z31 expert, but from what I remember. The biggest issue you will run into with a VG30ET to VG30DETT swap is space. The Z31 has a narrower engine bay than the Z32 which means the DETT may not fit.

But you may want to check with more Z31 gurus first, I only know my Z32... and starting to learn the S130.

Re: Twin Turbo Swap... READ

yeah, i know about the clearance issues... for that they have developed an engine isolater for the left mont that moves it farther under the engine to promote the use of the stock twin turbo set up. You can get them from Z31parts.com... I think.

Is there any any chance you know if there is a huge issue with tapping in to the coolent line in the Z32 heads/Z31 block and possibly machining some new bolt holes in either the block or heads to make up for the difference in 6/4 bolt patterns?

i was thinking, maybe there is a way to do a Z31/32 hybrid (Swap the Z32 24 valve heads for Z31 12 valve heads on a stock block) since both blocks are the same minus the coolent line bores... would be a hella awsome flow improvement if it would work!

Penny for your thoughts~
Thanks
