I think it more depends on the color of your car....because carbon fiber is always going to be black...it may not necessarily go along with what your doing to the exterior of your car...on the other hand aluminum may look good....

I've only seen one aluminum wing that looks good and thats on my bf's friends car and its has the color of his car on it....otherwise aluminum wings suck.....sorry like I said Im only giving my worth!

Normally I'd agree with you...but if your going for that full on race car look....then the aluminum wing would go perfect with what your trying to do, but then I don't like those super tall wings either...like on the Lancer EVO....2 over the top...The only one I've seen that was tall that I liked was the TRD one that comes on the Celica But my friend just put a Wings West one, painted to match her body on her car...it looks good, very subtle

It'd probably be between carbon fiber and fiberglass...but the majority of the spoilers you buy out there are polyurethene (type of plastic) which are pretty light to start out with anyways...what kind of car are you putting this on and what color????

Hmmmm....I wouldn't necessarily go carbon fiber then...unless you had a carbon fiber hood with gunmetal (blK) Wheels 2 match...but that's just my opinion..but Wings West has some Carbon fiber/aluminum/normal spoilers on their website you can look at... www.wingswest.com

Your welcome...anytime...but this may be a stupid question...but why does it matter how light the spoiler is? You have a FWD car, so having a rear spoiler isn't going to do anything for you performance wise and what little weight you save going carbon fiber vs. fiberglass, etc. is not even noticable..you'll notice more of a difference when you get lighter wheels, etc...

Yea fiberglass would be a good choice....but honestly and this is just my opinion...the lines and curves on that car (has to take a moment to wipe his drool )....but I wouldn't put a wing on it...it doesn't need it, it would only break up the curve of the roofline...put some really nice wheels...get the headlights and taillights you want and put a nice subtle body kit and you will have one good lookin' car...

LOL... Yea wheels try these websites...www.enkei.com (I personally like these wheels) or www.wheelmax.com, www.wheelsnext.com, www.gruppe-s.com/Volk/volkwheels.htm, www.motegiracing.com/, www.5zigenusa.com.
For headlights and taillights check out TYC (Look them up on web) or go to Nopi.com and check out what they have....I hope that helps. |
