door remote - ideas on current draw?

to the escort forum- sorry for the posting barrage this week. in a couple days ill dissapear and stop hogging the bandwidth-

my new escort has a remote door lock installed, which activates the driver or hatch doors. i really couldnt care less about having this feature, and wonder if anyone knows how much current it draws.

ie: if i leave my car sitting for a week, will it kill the battery? a month? two months?

is there an easy way to just take it off the grid, so to speak?
