That "puny" little silverado would easily eat an SRT-4, and come back for seconds

Re: Put the hurt on a C6 and an mod' impala
Thanks. It was nice to finally get some more street races.
I have put in 5-6K but only 3-4K if you dont include the transmission. I am still on my original built trans. The stocker never died completely but nearly wore out at 50K miles. Luckily I have received a sponsership from ZZperformance so I should be able to add some power this winter. The current tentative plan is to add a larger cam and do alot of work on the heads. Also Ill be swapping in a better IC core, possibly dropping another 50lbs from the car(rear window/GA front brakes), and maybe getting larger headers. Right now I have around 350-360whp and with this stuff I should be ~400whp. Or atleast that is the goal. |

Nice races Jeff. Can't wait to get my car back out and see if I can't find me a C6. Not sure it would be all that fair though. Those Impala SS's had LT1's in them. If they are the bigger late 90's ones I am thinking of. Can be fairly quick with some work.

Holy frig Jeff, 5-6k and you're running mid 11's?? That is awesome! I am getting married in the Spring and will need a 4 door (getting rid of the VR4 hopefully)...but I want a nice one. I was thinking of either an Altima SE-R or the new turbo Mazda 6. I guess now getting a GTP and modding it will have to be a very strong consideration. Not too many Altimas walking C6's. Nice kill btw. Also, where do you get all of your parts?

modified to stock....possible?!?!?! Is this guy for real? Let me know if you ever want to get that srt-4 any good times, then we can load it up on the back of a trailer and I'll tow it down the 1320. I promise you it will be a better time than what you have posted and I'll even let you have the slip to impress all of the ladies. FWIW....you can easily get that 03 truck to run over a second faster than your stock srt-4 and still stay all motor.

Re: Put the hurt on a C6 and an mod' impala
OMG....another srt-4/neon post
When will it end?! Seriously, almost every post for the past week has either been about a grand am or a neon or an srt-4. Can we move off that topic? |

Re: Put the hurt on a C6 and an mod' impala
It's beginning to sounds like this 209 SRT guy is another one of them SRT-4 fanboiiiiiis...sigh.
BTW, congrats to you, boosted1. We do some stupid things for women...include getting rid of a VR4 for a 4-door family car...yeesh.

Jeff, you have got one kick ass motherf**king car man. I watched your 11 sec 1/4 vid, how the hell did you NOT get wheel spin with that car having so much torque for a FWD..? I know you had slick on, but damn i thought you'd be spinning through 1st and into second with a supercharger like yours. Ah forget it, you're probably a good driver...i know myself, i'd be spinning through 5th..lol.
Hanging with a vette on the highway, especially a C6 is admirable..period....WALKING a C6 is just kickass all the way. Did that a-hole really say your car was a POS..? What a d*ck. Those GTP's are nice, they are really big though so i bet you can get like over 300lbs off the car with deadening/other things....but honestly i'd keep all that for comfort/stock appeal.
