Becuase unless you were hella outside of city limits, except for crossovers, there is no place on 121, both going into Down Town Fort Worth or towards Dallas, to pull a u turn, unless you exit the highway. Neither are their cross lights, save for the ones next to 121 going towards 820. And the speed limit is 60. I know, when Im home, in Texas, 99.9% of my highway racing is on 121 in the Metroplex between Grapevine, Southlake, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Ft. Worth, Dallas, and the best God damned city in the state, Colleyville.

Oh, and if I recall correctly, the Saleen SVT Focus with nitrous ran a 15.3 pass on the spray...

Not BS, wanna know why??? I live near Frisco/Allen/ Plano. And yes there are stoplights intersecting with 121. Um, let me think, 121 & Custer, 121 & Ohio, 121 & Coit, 121 & Preston to name a few. So if you want to bust my ball's, half way know what you are talking about.
And second thing. . .
A Saleen focus which has the 151 flywheel HP duratec ( SVT Focus 170 ) runs a 70 shot wet system = 221 Flywheel HP runs the 1/4 as follows;
0-30 2.15 sec
0-40 3.37 sec
0-50 4.59 sec
0-60 5.90 sec
0-70 7.85 sec
0-80 9.78 sec
0-90 12.11 sec
0-100 15.44 sec
1/4 mile in 14.30 @ 98.48 mph.

And the Saleen is not an SVT, They have different engines, different Suspension different everything, so again if you don't have a clue what you are talking about don't add your two cents.

Again, SVT Focus 170 Flywheel HP maybe 10 whp from Mod's + 50 WHP shot of nitrous. . .
221+ Flywheel HP in a 2700 lb car.
Oh, And I ran this car at the strip BONE stock - 15.7 @ 89 mph.

Which puts you 2 seconds off a bad driver with an LS1 car.

I dont know how you say with 50 horsepower you gain close to 1.5 seconds.
Car weight: 2750 lbs.
Horsepower: 221 hp
Configuration: Front Wheel Drive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Results
Quarter Mile Acceleration: 14.788 seconds.
Terminal speed: 100.9898 mph.
Mustangs hit that not svt focus with a stupid flywheel and 50 horsepower. It must be from that typer badge you put on your car.
And my l98 ran a 13.8 with a jet chip. So explain how an engine 2 generations in advance continuly loses to a 14.3 car. Trust me its like this ls1>l98. Now you can start telling us about the v6 camaro you beat.

Re: SVT Focus Vs. 00"+ Z28

I understand that.
You didn't gain 2 seconds from your mods.

And from a roll, the LS1 car is going to be even more dangerous.

If you had read my post, that is not my car. . . Those times / MPH are from a SALEEN focus with 20 less flywheel horsepower then I have. That is the numbers that Motor Trend has for the Saleen when they tested it.

And this is from a roll on. FWD and RWD really don't matter as much as Power to Weight Ratio & Gearing. Trust me, these are pretty comparable from A ROLL ON.

Camaro= stock
Car weight: 3553 lbs.
Horsepower: 310 hp
Configuration: Rear Wheel Drive

My Focus SVT
Car Weight 2700 lbs.
HP 221+ HP
Front Wheel Drive

I said I ran a 15.7 @ 89 stock. I never said I would run 13.7 on bolt ons and a 50 shot of spray. And I never said it took me 1/4 mile to beat this guy for that matter. I ran to 120 MPH. At that speed I had him in my rear view by 2-3 car lengths.

Then it wasn't an LS1 car.

I'm with Luos on this.
This would be like me saying I beat an LS1 with my car, it's just not going to happen in any situation. Your car would be a good match for mine in a roll, but not an LS1.

I was a Maroon Z28 with the cheesy ass square dual exhaust tips. I can take a V6 without spray.

Re: SVT Focus Vs. 00"+ Z28

Could have been an LT1 car if you reeled it in top end.

SS's and Firehawks pull on me, not as bad as you may think though. Although I usually run when I'm on a 75 shot of nitrous. Regular Run of the mill Z28's I can get from a roll on with a 50 shot.

Re: SVT Focus Vs. 00"+ Z28

14.3 at 98 is not LS1 territory, its mustang gt.

What is the difference 1/4 wise for an SS and a z28
