Ok when oil hits water you sorta get that rainbow effect on the water... Now I've seen headlight lenses that have that same effect to them, I am guessing that its a clear tape you put on the inside of the headlight, does anyone know that technical name for this or where I can get it?

I don't quite no what you're trying to ask? Anyway you can clerify, maybe we can help. You looking for a rainbow effect in your headlights? If so, why? I doubt it's tape inside. It might be a spray on oil or tape on outside.

It's really hard to describe. Its the rainbow effect that occurs when oil and water mix, but on your headlight lense, its been pissing me off for a good 2 weeks now, cause no one knows wtf I am talking about. I just assumed it was some sort of tape, but I think the tape would melt with the heat. When you look at the headlights (not turned on) you can move your head and the variety of different colors move around... (this must sound like jibborish)

Oh I know what it is. It's the light bulb. It's that old ION crap that was so damn popular 3 years ago. Gold or Blue ION bulbs cause the entire headlight housing to reflect rainbow. However, cops are real good about pulling ppl over with ions when they're on at night. They just have ticket written on them.

Yeah it'll reflect inside no matter what, on or off. Those headlights reflect inside the lens like a prism.
Yeah I have a lot more pics of my car on my site: http://www.brianv.net/car.html
