86 300zx help needed
I have searched the forums and cannot find what I am looking for.
86 300zx NA. It was running fine then after fueling up, it ran like crap. The fuel is good, diesel was not put into the tank. Turning the engine over with the gas pedal floored and it will bump a few times. Release the pedal and turn the engine over and it will idle just fine for 5 to 10 seconds. I haven't put a pressure gauge on the fuel line yet but the pump does come on and it sprays like a bitch. On the ECM there is one oval hole with the red and green LED. Where the hell is the screw on this thing. Everything I have seen about the ECM on these cars say there is a screw which needs to be turned. I don't see one in there with the LEDs and there is no other hole in the case. Thanks for any info that can be provided. |

Re: 86 300zx help needed
Boy sounds like you put diesel in.
No not really just razzing you. AFM hooked up? (as in came disconected) Bad plugs? Due to overly rich... Happened to me in my 280zx... ALways ran pig rich and fouled plugs out just from looking at it funny. And the screws for the ecu you remove the ecu from its mounting place (should be 2 screws) And the test screw should be on the end and a note with an arrow on it if not marked you should be able to tell it should be the only flat head screw in the general area |

the screw should be located just to the side of the led's. make sure not to turn it too hard or you'll break it.
