Cool carpet problem

Ok, I'm only 15 and a half. We've had a Ford f-150 since 1997, and it is officially mine. We use it for hauling stuff. There was a bunch of crud inside, so I've spent a few days cleaning it out. I have it cleaner than clean. This is the cleanest I have ever seen it. The only problem is, over the years, things have been spilled all over and then ground in. My mom staes she has used Brissle Carpet cleaner and it won't come out, but I've learned it's good to sort of "double check" everything. Haha. I would like to know if anyone has a remedy for getting VERY tough ground in stains. Elbow grease is also available All help is GREATLY appreciated. I want this truck to be as clean and good looking as possible.

Re: carpet problem

Try renting a steam cleaner. Or just buy some mats. Or if you can spend a little more you can just replace the carpets. Lots of pre-formed OEM carpet is available for pretty cheap.

Re: carpet problem

www.autodata.webs.com has a pretty easy six step guide to installing new carpet that might help.........sometimes if you don't mind the work that goes along with not buying preformed you can come out just as cheap replacing the carpet.

Re: carpet problem

Here some tips for carpet that colors are matched to original manufactures interior color. You can spot dye a small area or the complete auto carpet. Universal color may match more than one auto interior and can be used to tint the car carpet darker or give your carpet a two-tone effect. The carpet dyes have metallic flakes in them, which reflects light and makes the auto carpet look brighter.

Re: carpet problem

You would be amazed at how well WD-40 can clean not only automotive carpet, but also household carpet.
