5-3-2006 Soheil Ayari has been named to join Stephan Ortelli at the wheel of the Oreca Saleen S7R at the 1000 Kilometers at Spa (May 13-14). "Since this beginning of season, Soheil drove the car which already gained 2 victories in Championship of France" explains Hugues de Chaunac. "He knows how to exploit its potential, while being integrated perfectly into our team as he drove in Formula 3000 and in Le Mans in a Viper. He is thus a perfect partner for Stephan Ortelli." Ortelli and Ayari turned laps yesterday at Magny-Course in order to as well as possible prepare for LMS/Spa which will be held on the prestigious circuit of the Belgian Ardennes. |

Sascha Bert and Jarek Janis finished 2nd in the first round of the FIA GT Championship at Silverstone in their # 9 Zakspeed S7R. They pitted just twice during the 3 hour race.
The track was wet at the start, but dried up for the 3 hour race. |
