lol hehe i was just wondering if you really need them in a 700 hp car. thing is in this pic the engine intake tube goes straight from the compresssor outlet into the engine http://www.fast-autos.net/saleen/s7tt13.jpg

Yes, The S7 TT probably runs low bar anyway but most supercars do need an intercooler. Those 2 ducts on the sides by the doors are where they are located you can see the out line eve in you picture as well.

Re: Is the new Twin Turbo S7 intercooled?
No the intercooler wouldnt be that far back to much routing for the carbon ducts an a waste of space...

but if there was an intercooler wouldn't it be inbetween the compressor outlet and the engine intake manifold???

I don't see why the 700 hp version wouldn't be intercooled when they plan on making a 1000hp version, I'm purty sure 1000 hp would need an intercooler and putting them on the 700 hp one's would just make production that much simpler. Also the 700 hp one only runs like, 5.5 psi.

"Expect a future intercooled version with almost twice the boost to make over 1000 bhp."
- Road & Track The new S7 TT does indeed run 5.5 psi of boost. |

yea it runs low boost, i think thats why it doesn't have an intercooler because look if the intercooler were in the side duct behind the door, wouldn't there be a pipe coming out of the compressor section of the turbo to the side duct where the intercooler supposedly is?? Because in the S7 TT pic thats shows the engine and the turbos, there is no piping toward the side duct from the turbo, it just goes straight into the air intake manifold.
look at this pic, u see how the air goes from the compressor section of the turbos to the intercooler piping, and from the intercooler the air then goes into the air intake manifold. If there was an intercooler, wouldn't it look more like this? and not like this?? i think the 1000 hp will definetly be intercooled, but this '05 version doesnt look like it has one, to me

Re: Is the new Twin Turbo S7 intercooled?
Well...
A. You might not be able to see the piping. B. From the looks of it your right it just looks like a cooling fan underneath the scoops but whats in the center peice of the scoop though?

u mean like inside the carbon box looking thing?? if so maybe the oil cooler is inside??? lol bro you would be able to see the piping
look at this-its a twin turbo engine without intercoolers. you see the way the compressor outlet goes directly into the engine intake manifold?? it looks the same exact way on the S7. the outlet goes directly into the engine intake manifold this is not the best pic but u see how the air from the compressor outlet section of the turbo passes through an intercooler before going into the engine
