Headlights are so dim-1989 Tempo
I have a 1989 Tempo, and the headlights are so dim, I can barely see at night. I have installed new assemblys and new bulbs, is there anything else I can do to brighten them? I had an '89 Crown Vic with the same problem. I keep threatening to mount a couple of maglites on the front of the car so I can see!! Any help would really be appreciated, thanks!!

Re: Headlights are so dim-1989 Tempo
If they're like my Continental's and Passat's then the lenses have yellowed. Use a restoration kit to make then clear again. Makes a big difference. You could also drive around with your brights on. If they're that dim no one will even flash you since they won't be that bright ( I know they didn't flash me). You could also try the high temperature bulbs like the Sylvania Ultra 4100K which are whiter and brighter but have less life. Check to make sure that your headlights are aimed correctly too.
