Just some Questions
Okay, so I just baught a 1977 Ford Granada for $450 about two weeks ago. It only had 80k miles on it which I figured wasn't too bad for being 31 years old. I actually think the car is ugly as heck but it's in pretty good condition. Around the bottom of the car there is some rusting, which is understandable. Also, there is a rust hole int he rear pumper and the plastic covering for the reverse light is missing. I was wondering if anyone knew if it is very difficult to get ahold of a new bumper and light covering?
The interior is pretty spectacular for being so old. The whole interior is in mint condition. But, I feel there is some technology missing in this old beast. There isn't even a clock! I'm constantly looking at my cell phone to see what time it is! And the only thing that it has for music is an FM stereo. I went to a local store that sold stereo equipment and asked if there was any way they could get a stereo in there. I was told that if they did they would have to rip out the whole front panel and it wouldn't be very attractive after words. Has anyone else had a problem getting some kind of stereo put in this car? I did get a Sirius radio installed but have yet to activate it. Also, I was wondering about speakers. I've decided the speakers in this thing are crap and they have no bass what so ever. Would it be very difficult to find and install some good speakers for it? Thanks for any replies! |

Re: Just some Questions
Your best solutiion to the bumper and rear light lens would be to go to the boneyard and get them. The dealer usually doesn't stock such items after 10 years. 31 years old. That's got to be some kind of record there. You could put some 6x9 speakers in the rear shelf. I think it would sound good that way. Don't know if you could put some round speakers in the door panels. If there is enough room that would work.

I think the speakers in the door panels may work. There are already some speakers there.
