F$#k up prelude
I bought a 94 prelude type s with a f22b2 motor swap (don't know y this motor was put in ) 5 speed. Now I need help to salvage this classic. I can't c parting out or junking this car. For one its a body style you don't see very often and is one of my fav cars from honda . my original plans for this build was to drop in a b20b low com and the all wheel drive from either the type r or the pilot but after reading up on it it doesn't seem like it will happen do to the loads of fab work needed and me being a newbie. Maybe down the Lind when I have a few more builds under the belt. Anyway trying to figure out if going back to an h22 or with the b18. I want to take it to the track when finished. So that being said I need to know if going n/a or turbocharged would be best.

Re: F$#k up prelude
I'm not really a Honda guy so I'll start by asking what is wrong with the engine in it. Maybe just build up the engine to support a good turbo and make a fun track car till you have the money and skills to do your big build

Re: F$#k up prelude
That engine was probably used because it was what came in the JDM Prelude Si's.
I'm a fan of that body style myself. I didn't like what Honda did to the front end on the later generation. I was actually looking for a 92-96 for a daily driver and they are either crazy overpriced or beat to hell and overpriced. I wouldn't go B18. I'd either stick with what you got, or find a good H series and go from there.

Re: F$#k up prelude
Stick with an H22. Putting a B-series engine in a Prelude is going to be far more difficult, and pretty pointless IMO. You'd be better off putting in another F-series over a B. The H22 will bolt right up to your transmission, and I believe uses the same mounts as well (been years since I've dealt with an H22 in anything other than a Civic.)
