2005 500 Windshield Wipers

On my 2005 Ford 500, the windshield wipers do not clear water off the windshield in steady rain conditions. I have had four or five different factory supplied wiper blades, and nothing seems to work. The dealer says that the shape of the wiper arm does not match the curvature of the windshield.

Anyone have a solution? Obviously, the dealer does not. It's very difficult and dangerous driving in the rain.

Hope someone can help!

Thank you.

Re: 2005 500 Windshield Wipers

Forget the dealer. Obviously he's not concerened about you. Go to Wal-Mart automotive and get the whole windshield wiper arm. Measure what you have now and get the same length. Many of the oem wipers on new cars are built too flimsy and light to do a very good job of getting the water off of your windshield. Last, but not least replace the spring holding the wiper arm against the windshield with one that has more tension.
