Re: nav radio for 2002 envoy
No such factory radio was offered in that and, since the radios were computer-integrated, you can't use one from a different year or model...

Re: nav radio for 2002 envoy
hey man, the easiest thing to do is go to a dealership, i did it. I takes 2 min and cost about 20 bucks. he needs the vin# off of it which is accessed on comp.

Re: nav radio for 2002 envoy
Actually, the easiest thing to do is not waste your time or money. (Although I can't believe they would actually charge to look up part numbers/availability. I think you were taken.)
Anyway, as I mentioned, no such radio was available for that vehicle. Guaranteed. No VIN or money needed for that advice... |

Re: nav radio for 2002 envoy
Well the last post on this thread was in April but I wonder what the people posting would say now knowing that this is totally possible, and has been done by several 2002 Envoy/Trailblazer/Bravada owners very easily?
As long as you have the class 2 data bus (and the 2002+ Envoy/Trailblazer/Bravada/Rainier/Ascender) ALL have ALWAYS had the class 2 data bus, you are good to go! A BOSE system from the factory helps. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/inde...howtopic=28030 http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthrea...ght=navigation I happen to be installing one on my 2002 Envoy this Monday. Im getting the VIN programmed into my LUX nav head unit Tuesday by a buddy who works for a GM dealership. Ive already plugged it in and it works, that is until my theftlock activates. Its 10000% doable.

Re: nav radio for 2002 envoy
Well, as I mentioned, no such radio was available for that vehicle. Navigation wasn't offered in it. So you are evidently trying to put one from a newer vehicle into yours. I would sure be interested to hear how that goes and what kind of steps they had to go through to make it work. If it does work...

Kru- dont take this the wrong way, but do you have "any" idea what you are talking about? You really need to educate yourself on this. Just assuming it wont work because "it was offered that year" doesnt mean squat. And Im not the only one who's done this upgrade - so has Yorel! The steps I had to go through to make it work. 1.) Buy NAV LUX radio 2.) Remove present BOSE 6 disc stereo 3.) Plug in connectors for new NAV stereo and install navigation antenna. 4.) Turn on and Enjoy Not having the NAV option for that year has nothing to do with installing. As long as the stereo communicates with the serial bus and the amplifier, it will work. http://www.envoyforums.com/2011-upda...av-stereo.html http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=17623 http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?use...2144]DropShots It WILL work on a 2002 GMT360. Im proof - and my manufacture date is 02/2001. So technically im a verrrryyy early new style 2002 T360.
