Hmmm, I really kicked around buying a WRX but by the time I put all the little extras and such on it the price was getting way into the 30's and I was not gonna pay that for the car...just me.
It was a hoot to drive. Very quick and a threat on the local streets. That being said, I have mucked about against them a little and taken them in my car...but they were freaking on me the whole way. I really cant explain this, I know the BMW's are really awsome cars...but they do nothing for me at all (except the Z8). Its just a taste thing. My vote is the WRX. The car I want to see it go up against is that hot rod Neon when it shows...I wanna see if the Dodge boys really can make the fastest cars in all ranges. I think the WRX is the one they are aiming for in the 4 banger catagory...its kind of the king right not. I also like the new look...I like it better than the older ones. Anyhows, thanks for letting me play:flash:

I prefer the looks of the old one, personally. I feel that the new Neon SRT wont be able to compete handling-wise, as it is front wheel drive. It will never be able to turn well.

Hmmmm, I thought maybe the hot rod Neon had AWD in its future? Didnt I read that someplace...maybe not and my head is making it up. I was thinking it was some shared platform from someplace that the new one was going to be built on.
You are right though, but straight line I bet it might be pretty good...and to be honest I think the "Fast and the Furious" crowd is who they are aiming at and turning is not a real premium with many of those guys...typical USA 1/4 mile outlook. I have no problem with that...but many "true" import and sports car fans look beyond that...but that really is a small group. Me, Im still a straight line kind of guy but I like the sports car thing. I mean, come on...I love it when some yo yo starts talking about how great a car handles when he really has no idea because he has never been on a track and only thinks he can drive. Hell, Ill admit on a closed track with the twisty stuff I am eating pylons. I'll never take full advantage of the upgrades the factory put on my car.

Hows the quarter post going you lying bastard.
By the way I was racing last week and the nearest the a modified wrx came to me was 3 seconds and the nearest Sti about the same. Sorry! The average for the day was 40 seconds a lap. But myself and a couple of supra's were about 38 seconds a lap. Post the slip lyer. :flash: And if you had the money you would bye a GT2, then a M3 or M5. WRX is not a pinch of shit.
