Prostart 2in1
Hello all,
I just bought a Prostart 2in1 automatic car started from Canadian Tire. I am fairly mechanically inclined and do most work on my own cars. Is this something that can be attempted on my own? I really don't want to spend $400 to have it installed when it only cost me $77 to start with. My Envoy is a 2003 SLT (automatic trans). Anyone know if there are other things I need to buy in order to install this (module, etc)? If it is too in-depth then I will just return it. Please advise. |

Re: Prostart 2in1
You will have to find a way to bypass the trucks security system.

Re: Prostart 2in1
I didn't realize it even had a security system. I have to bypass this to install the auto-starter?

Re: Prostart 2in1
It works from a from the ign key to to bcm and theft module. Yes, if the key is not turned in the ign, it locks out the starter circuit.
