Engine Mounts

I have to replace my engine mounts. Are there any walk-throughs with photos out there? Thanks for the help!

Re: Engine Mounts

If you mean the "Cradle Mount Bushing", I can help. I replaced mine a little while ago.
Here are the tools and steps:
You'll need an 18mm deepwell with tourque wrench, a high lift jack, wheel chocks and ramps.

REMEMBER!!! Do this with a friend and a cell phone. Murphy is watching!

1) Set car on ramp and chock rear wheels
2) Set jack at back of the cradle but don't lift the car up. Unbolt the rear bushing bolts. The lower bushing should fall out with the bolt.
3) SLOWLY lower the jack (and cradle) until the upper bushing can be removed/replaced.
4) Install is reverse order.
5-9) Do same procedure for the front cradle bushings and your done!

Because your raining and lowering the engine from it's compartment, this can be very dangerous! That's why you don't do this without a buddy!

The tourque for the bolts is 110 flbs (111 flbs per manual).

Hope this helps and good luck!
