Cruise Control
I have a 1997 Nissan Altima, which the cruise control is not working properly. When I set the cruise control, it sets but does not maintain speed. It simply drops out or downshifts and goes nowhere. I have checked the vacuum lines for the cruise control and it seems fine. I have also replaced the little rubber piece by the brake pedal (since it was rotted out). The button on the left side where the cruise control is engaged no longer lights up green when it is pressed. But the Cruise Control light does display on the dashboard. Any information would be great ...
Thanks

Re: Cruise Control
I found out what it was ... It was the Vacuum Hose leading to the Cruise control actuator. Its right by the firewall. I cut the hose back and It worked for a day. So I checked it again and the hose was cracked again. I purchased a new vacuum hose and my Cruise Control had been working perfect ever since.
