06 Fusion Air Bag Light

My air bag light will stay on sometimes, it seems to be more often now, sometimes if I turn off the car and restart it will go out, and sometimes not.
any ideas what I could check.

Airbag sensor replacement by Ford. Check your dealer.

Re: 06 Fusion Air Bag Light

is it something I could replace myself, or does it need to be done by the dealer ?

Re: 06 Fusion Air Bag Light

There have been a lot of posts on other forums that a weak battery will cause the airbag light to come on in Fusions. Are you seeing any other signs of a weak battery? It may be worth getting the battery tested.

That is a good possibility, I noticed a few weeks ago my battery went dead after just a very short time I had the lights on.
I'll check it with a load tester
Thanks for the info

Re: 06 Fusion Air Bag Light

I too had the airbag light stay on sometimes in my '06 fusion. I read here to test the battery: The battery tested bad. New battery=no more airbag light problem.

thanks!
