My 93's fans wont turn on, I'm overheating often on my brand new LT1. Any way to wire the fans up(nig rig)? What could possible be wrong?

Re: No fans
several things,
1. your cooling fan relay has gone bad and needs to be replaced, unplug it and check for signs of overheating or burning at the terminal connections. also check for corrosion. 2. your fan motors have bit the dust and need to be replaced. hard wire them with a 12V source and see if they run, if they do, its another problem, if they dont, youve found it. 3. your temperature sensor is dead, not the one for your temp guage, the fans use a dedicated cooling fan switch, if its the same as an L98 motor, the switch is located on the passenger side of the block under the head. back behind the knock sensor and higher up. 4. have you tried turning on your AC? the secondary fan is wired to turn on when the AC is on, despite the temperature of the coolant. So if it dosnt turn on there is a wiring problem.

Re: No fans
well, to test the fans just run some spare wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the plug where the red wire goes into the fan motor, and ground the other one, that is just to test the motor to see if it works.
however if the relay is burned, then thats your problem and you need to replace it. it will require some wiring to install but nothing serious. should take around 20 minutes to do it all up and have it operating correctly again.
