either pull the cover/carrier and find the tooth count (usually stamped on gear) or count the teeth, the stamping will say like 10 41 which is 410 or like 11 41 which is 3.73 etc, if you dont want to pull the cover you can turn the pinion and count how many times the pinion goes around for one tire revolution for a good guess

check your RPO codes. you can find those codes on the inside of one of your body panels (usually in the rear somewhere) and then look on internet for translation.

it's simpler than that . turn the imput shaft the number of turns it takes to turn the half shafts 1 complete turn. for example mine turned just barely over three turns to get one turn hence 3.08/to1 =3.08 rear end. there is only a few diffrent gears for each model year.yours will probably be two point something or other. the newer vettes(all cars for that matter) have higher gears for better fuel economy at the cost of torque.
i tried to look it up for you but i couldn't find it quickly. if it was swapped out new it's probably not too desireable a ratio . a new set of gears are worth over 12 hundred bucks but the same price gets you 3.55 or 4.11 gears etc.. |

mike weyman thanks for repeating what i said, my boss said there most likely lame like 3.08 and that itll be a 10 bolt center section so gears are not 1200 bucks
