2005 C1500 4.3L dies/restarts?

I have tried a new fuel pump, cam sensor, coil, ign.mmodule, coil wire, plugs and wires. No codes and sometimes while driving it dies but chugs before completely dying but most times just dies. I have to give it a little bit of pedal but it restarts. Has anyone had a crank sensor do this?

you need fuel pressure measurements. V6 pressures I think are higher than the V8 engines. find the proper pressures for the V6 you have ..

with a 5.3L 53-62 psi. is the normal range. at 50 psi it may run but lack power. below 50 most times [cold] will not start. on these GM vehicles low pressures will NOT throw code on fuel pressure issues.

with no codes first thing to do is with your issue is not buy parts but measure fuel pressure. drive vehicle with pressure gauge hooked up see if its in the proper spec.

replacing fuel pumps never use an airtex pump. only use ac delco or Delphi pump . pump connector must be soldered. ground must be removed cleaned and secure at the frame rail next to tank. fuel filter if it has one must be replaced and also the fuel pump relay because a bad pump damages the contacts.

if the security light is on then you have a problem with the pass lock system ..key lock issue .which I have never had to troubleshoot .
