Re: 4dr 2009 Porsche Panamera

That sure is blue. I really want to see this car despite being a Porsche purist, because if it does to the upper end luxo sedan market what the Cayenne did to the luxury SUV market, then you will see that they will have a new hot seller on their hands, and you already know it will be. But think about this, they told the press that they would be at the Nurburgring testing that particular week (this week I'm assuming) and normal prototypes have black paint and black fabric disgusing it. This is bright blue with likke disguse. They are trying to get attention to this car and make a buzz for it. Get ready to see prototypes with even less camo in the weeks to come before its concept debut at the Paris motorshow (I think its Paris at least). And for thos who cant tell already, the concept will be almost identical to the production version.

Porscheguy9999 prediction:
-Concept will sport Carrera GT's V10 or Cayenne's V8 (both should be offered on the final product)
-Prouction version will have AWD optional
-Perhaps they will have the Panamera, Panamera 4, Panamera S, Panamera 4S, Panamera Targa, Panamera Targa S, Panamera Turbo. They maight even have a Panamera Tagra 4 and Targa 4S. Who knows.
-The only competitor would be the Maserati Quattroporte, with the Aston Martin Rapide competing with the top Panamera 4S or Turbo trim levels, and spec'd out Mercedes CLS63 AMG competing the base Panameras.

You heard it first here.

I know what you mean, it seems as though they are trying to pull everyones attention to the car, hense producing it in the very near future.

I dont know, with VW making the body for of the Panamera they might take the frame and do there own car as the Phaeton now "old" they would be looking for another platform to keep in the four door supercar market.

I like that they were able to keep the look of porsche, but give it a 4dr.

I really like the way it looks even if it's a 4dr. Porsche.

Re: 4dr 2009 Porsche Panamera

There are no matt black cars on the streets or tracks usually. So every matt black prototype is totally flashy and eye-catching. Maybe they painted it blue to make it look (if you only take a brief look at it) like a production car.

I worked for Porsche already, it's a great place to work at and I'm really wishing them to have success with this car. The only thing I dislike is their cooperation with VW on this one.

Re: 4dr 2009 Porsche Panamera

If anyone cares, I waved my Microsoft Paint wand over the pic and came out with this mildly edited pic of what the car MIGHT look like.
