no major problems. Just bought this week. This forum helped me buy it by explaining nearly all of its flaws: slip-yoke crunching, door hinge popping, intermittant and rear wiper issues, abs wire connector bad, etc.
Iwould like to thank all of the great posters here, as they have already helped me out greatly, even in my first week of ownership.

Replaced timing belt at 60K went thru 2 clutches one slave cylinder. New alternator at 100k fan belts, transmission replaced at 140K started having hard shifting between 1 and 2 gears. Engine was swapped at about 116K because timing belt broke when my son was driving at 65mph on highway causing bent valves major programs. Fuel sending unit was defective when truck was new fuel gauge was off by about 6gals when on Empty. I loved that truck, got totaled about three weeks ago while parked on street some fool backing down the street at 50mph. Real "A hole". Well on to bigger and better things.

NO PROBLEMS

I just Bought this Rodeo a few weeks ago from a mechanic. I paid $600 for this truck and the body is near perfect as is the interior. Everything works, its got all power accessories and the AC is freezing cold. I crawled all over this truck b4 I bought it and couldnt find any problems. It did need $360 worth of exaust work that I had done immediatly. Now its great. I have a 2004 Saturn Ion 3 (fully loaded) and my wife and I fight over who will drive the Rodeo. ha

No major problems. Had to replace 1 O2 sensor at around 55K. Everything else has just been routine maintenance. Just replace sparkplugs yesterday for the 1st time. The back driver side boot was a MONSTER.

Any major problems: CEL with code P0342 Camshaft Position Sensor low voltage input. Intermittent happens about once or twice in two weeks time then it turns its self off in 6 starts.
UPDATE:
Year 1999
Engine 2.2L
Mileage 124,000
Any major problems: Hit a deer in July 06 totaled the truck. Bought a new one Same year and color. However, I did put it back together in April 07 so now under a previously salvage title for Ohio it's running great. Now all I need for the 2.2L is new shocks and coil springs in the rear.

Year 1999
Engine 3.2L
Mileage 131,000
Any major problems: Needs new motor or a rebuild. Depending on when I get time to pull it out will depend on which option is done. Spending unit at time of purchase, differental was serviced, spark plugs, oil change and engine clean up all done the day I bought it. Got the truck off a kid for 4,750 the day I found out my insurance company totaled out Rodeo 1 as it's referred to around my friends. The new one got named Rodeo 2.

So if anyone has information on coil springs for the 99s or common things to be aware of in the rebuild let me know.
