2004 Rodeo 3.5 direct injection timing belt kit

I have 3.5 direct injection which is an interference motor. Does anybody know whether the motor will be damaged if the timing belt breaks on this? Also, if anybody knows where to find a timing belt kit with all the pulleys and tensioners for this motor, any info would be appreciated. I have called a couple local auto parts stores and they didn't have any idea.

I know the non-direct injection motor was not an interference motor.

check out rockauto.com for parts.

Smile Re: 2004 Rodeo 3.5 direct injection timing belt kit

Hello I purchase the AISIN Water Pump Timing Belt Kit 931-73017 Isuzu Axiom Rodeo 3.5L '02-'04 (Fits: 2004 Isuzu Axiom XS 3.5L) on Ebay everything in this kit fits except the timing belt. The 2004 3.5 DFI takes a different timing belt which I get from www.isuzuparts.com..... AISIN is OEM Isuzu. I change everything in the kit while I have the front of the engine taken down. Yes if the belt breaks you will need new valves and pistons don't let that happen .Happy Wrenching and Good Luck !
