my scion xp\b shocks me...
When I get out of my scion, it give me a shock. Dealer said it's static buildup from driving, i don't buy it because it does it every time. thoughts?

Common problem with many cars. Could be the tires, seat materials, low humidity. Try touching metal part of car before exiting or try using towel on seat. I used to have 89 Camry that came with velour seats that would zap me during winter when exiting and used a towel on the seat to solve the problem. Some tires are also known to cause this problem.

Attach it so the flat side is forward & backward and you won't get zapped again! When the car is in motion the air pushes it up so it won't touch the ground and wear out but when you stop it drops down and touches the ground and discharges the static electricity into the ground. |
