Respray

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice...

I'm 16 so am able to start driving in the New Year. Looking around and being a car enthusiast, I have fallen in love with the Spitfire, however, I have noticed that the ones that are in my preffered price range need some work doing to them! This is the reason that I am looking to buy now.
I have a lot of help to hand and dont intend to take on a massive project. I've found a car that I really like but it is in serious need of some paintwork repairs. I was wondering if anyone knew how much a complete respray would be and also if anyone has any advice for first time buyers and drivers!
Obviously, if the paint job is completely out of my price range or enough of you tell me that they are a difficult car or something along those lines then I may just ignore the paint and appreciate the car or completely reconsider what car I get but I am just looking around for an experts view as I have only ever driven modern cars.

Many thanks to you all
