modify/upgrade 3000GT
ok...so your probably going to think im kinda stupid asking this....i just recently bought a '97' 3000GT. i want to make it as fast n powerful n sexy as i can....but i never learned about this area of mechanic...i am great if you need your brakes or alignment...as me performance n im lost........i was told by someone to put in turbo....but can you put a turbo on a non-turbo engine? what can i do...where do i start...they really need a performance car upgrades for dummies book......please if anyone will seriously help me.....i need it. thanks you so very much... |

Love a Kevin Smith fan. Check out our FAQ, it's a good place to start. There's an NA upgrade bible, also a section on putting on a supercharger, and a part on turboing it. TT conversion parts would be about the same that you would need for a single turbo...except hte single would be a bit more involving..because you would need to get custom manifolds made.

i seconded the kevin smith thing and there is a book if u want to do some reading... car hacks and mods for dummies. its a really good read believe or not

My parents got me that book, I allready know allmost everything in it though but it would be a good read for you I think. Other than that your at a good place to begin asking questions ane learning about your car and what you can do to make it better.

wait they got one of those books? i would've thought not because it's like encouraging people to moddify and make cars quicker, i thought somebody wouldve revented it, o well
